01: WORKSHOPS : Sculpture | ||||||||
Sculpture also defies a ‘neat’ definition, but further extends the formal elements of line, shape, texture, tone and colour into ‘form’ and therefore encompasses the three-dimensional world in which we all exist.
Materials for sculpture workshops can include willow, clay, plaster, paper, card, wire and wood. Activities can range from mask-making and head dresses, large and small sculpture in willow and cane, assemblages in card and plaster, bowls and vessels in ceramic and paper pulp, large architectural constructions to fill a big space, through to environmental pieces on a grand scale in school grounds using growing willow, for example. For more information about willow, withies, and suppliers, please contact www.musgrovewillows.co.uk If you would like further details of any of my workshops, please contact me. |
