|01: WORKSHOPS : Sculpture|
Sculpture also defies a ‘neat’ definition, but further extends the formal elements of line, shape, texture, tone and colour into ‘form’ and therefore encompasses the three-dimensional world in which we all exist.
Materials for sculpture workshops can include willow, clay, plaster, paper, card, wire and wood.
Activities can range from mask-making and head dresses, large and small sculpture in willow and cane, assemblages in card and plaster, bowls and vessels in ceramic and paper pulp, large architectural constructions to fill a big space, through to environmental pieces on a grand scale in school grounds using growing willow, for example.
